Bookkeeper Technician University, exclusively owned and operated by Your Part-Time Controller, is where we train and develop Bookkeeper Technicians.

The BOOKKEEPER TECHNICIAN UNIVERSITY™ program provides training in bookkeeping, accounting, business software and business computer skills. At Bookkeeper Technician University (BTU) we train our students to accurately and efficiently process the basic accounting transactions that all organizations need. Our Bookkeeper Technicians (BT’s) become competent to accurately record accounts payable invoices, print checks, record deposits, and process payroll.

Our Bookkeeper Technician training includes learning popular accounting software packages such as Peachtree and QuickBooks. Our BT’s are adept at learning other software as required by their clients. The BTU™ program teaches all students to be experts in Microsoft Excel.

In addition to technical skills, Bookkeeper Technician University teaches the importance of maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. Our BT’s understand the importance of maintaining your bookkeeping records in an accurate an orderly fashion. BTU stresses the importance of meeting your deadlines and completing all work in a timely fashion. Our students recognize the need to be punctual and to get the job done.

And best of all, our BT's accomplish their work in a friendly and cooperative way that mixes well with your staff!

Our students come to us with different backgrounds. What they share is a desire to learn new bookkeeping skills, or improve existing bookkeeping skills, to provide the best possible services to their clients and other organizations that they serve.

Students who are employed by Your Part-Time Controller attend BTU free of charge. Organizations that wish to send members of their staffs for training are also welcome upon acceptance and payment of tuition.
