YOUR PART-TIME CONTROLLER STAFF TURNS OUT TO SUPPORT WHYY

Each year for the past seven years, the staff of Your Part-Time Controller  has volunteered their time to assist WHYY with their Fall Membership Campaign. More than 20 staff members turn out to man the telephones for three hours and help Philadelphia's public broadcasting radio and TV station to raise much-needed operational funds. YPTC’s support is more than just time and effort, though: the company offers matching contributions to augment the gifts made by call-in donors, and in 2009 Your Part-Time Controller contributed an additional $3,000 above and beyond what callers pledged.

Why do we do this? “WHYY is a great group to support,” says President and Founder Eric Fraint. “We believe in public broadcasting.”

Staff of Your Part-Time Controller gathered in the lobby of WHYY after the successful Fall Membership Campaign. The three-hour segment of volunteering on the telephones raised thousands of dollars from dozens of WHYY listeners and viewers.

WHYY's broadcast area was a beehive of activity as YPTC's avid volunteers manned the phones from 6 to 9 a.m. YPTC offered to add an additional $20 contribution to pledges that were received during the period -- and the phones kept ringing and ringing!
