The investigations into allegations of sex abuse at The Pennsylvania State University by former football defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky have expanded to include additional scrutiny of the Second Mile Center for Excellence, the charity founded and headed by Sandusky who is under indictment for 40 counts of child molestation. Investigators are examining the unusually close ties between Second Mile, one of the largest nonprofit youth services agencies in the Commonwealth, and the university.
