"The best decision I ever made......"

This is my first time in the nonprofit world, and I love it! After working with a credit union for 10 years I knew I had found my calling in nonprofits. I’m good at accounting but I knew I wanted to do more with my skills to help organizations that want to do good for the world. So, I got a degree in nonprofit administration, but no one would hire me because I didn’t have any nonprofit experience. Then YPTC came along and it was like the mother ship calling me home. It’s just so good to feel the goodness of it all. The best decision I ever made was jumping ship and coming to YPTC. I love the team, my clients, and the goodness of the work. It’s like the cherry on top!

YPTC’s staff are accountants of a different kind. My coworkers all come to YPTC because of the nonprofit draw; it’s not just an accounting job. Nonprofit accounting involves a different mind-shift. Even though we’re been meeting only virtually, there’s a bond among us and everyone’s willingness to help is amazing. I live in Connecticut and work out of the Boston office, and even though we’re all working remotely YPTC has built a unity among all of us and that comes from the top.
