Workforce Solutions Capital Area (WFS) is a nonprofit that supports and connects local people to local jobs in Austin, Texas, through data-driven planning, oversight, and evaluation of workforce development activities. The agency stands on the belief that everyone in their community should be able to build a well-paying career pathway, and every employer should be able to hire locally.

Tamara Atkinson, former CEO of WFS, recalls conducting a procurement for outsourced finance and accounting services and YPTC was the successful respondent. She says, “YPTC came into our organization when a long-serving CFO was retiring. They provided a financial assessment, with recommendations and an implementation plan.”

Through the assessment, Tamara says YPTC helped to identify a financial crisis that posed significant financial and reputational risk to the agency. “I am so grateful that YPTC hunkered down beside our team to ultimately solve the issue. We could not have done it without them!”
