The staff and management of Your Part-Time Controller are making a concerted effort to assist the many nonprofit organizations that were devastated by Hurricane Harvey when it hit Southeast Texas, particularly in Houston where YPTC recently opened our newest office.
“There are literally thousands of nonprofits in the enormous region impacted by the hurricane, and these charities will take many months, if not years, to fully recover,” said Andi McGunnigle, Manager in Houston. “Fortunately, all of our clients came through the storm relatively well, with only minimal flooding and brief limited access. But there are so many more in the human services, arts and culture, education, health and other fields that were severely affected.”
Many of YPTC’s employees have expressed concern for these charities and have made financial contributions to aid in their clean-up, rebuilding, and increased demands for services. YPTC is matching staff’s donations on a 1:1 basis, doubling the donations available to Houston-based nonprofits.
YPTC began serving the greater Houston area in early 2017 and we will shortly be expanding our staff to serve our growing number of clients in the nation’s fourth-largest city. Fortunately, YPTC’s Houston office, located near the famed Galleria, came through the hurricane in good shape.
YPTC is proud to do our little part to help the Houston nonprofit sector on the long road back to recovery,” she said.
