"They just make it so simple"

Desert Voices (DV) is a Phoenix, AZ nonprofit organization that provides early intervention and preschool services to children that are deaf or hard of hearing.

Kristen Levi, Executive Director of DV, heard about YPTC through their auditors, and chose to work with the firm because of their nonprofit knowledge and true understanding of the reporting nonprofits need and how nonprofits work.

DV was looking for more than just accounting services; they needed a strategic partner who could help them navigate the complexities of nonprofit financial management. From the very beginning, YPTC demonstrated a deep understanding of Desert Voices’ unique needs and challenges. Kristen says that one of the most valuable aspects of DV’s relationship with YPTC has been “The efficiency and real-time answers.” She continues, “If I have a quick question, I don’t have to wait until a specific closing date. You always have access to someone, so it’s real-time help and support.” She adds a statement of gratitude to her YPTC Associate, Nicole Ramer, “Nicole is very patient and knowledgeable, and is willing to get into the nitty gritty. For a complex thing that I don’t understand, she’s willing to spend the time to dissect it and figure it out for me. This has been so valuable, especially in the beginning when I was constantly asking her to explain things again.”

Kristen and Desert Voices would recommend YPTC to other nonprofit organizations, “Financials are obviously such a key point to a nonprofit and having an organization like YPTC be so efficient at it, almost makes what we do a little easier, because they just make it so simple.”
