Jenkins Law Library
"Personalized support plus all the benefits"

Jenkins Law Library is America’s first and oldest law library, founded in 1802 in a small room in Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Jenkins provides a wealth of legal and law-related information, databases, continuing legal education classes, and research services to its growing member base.
Ida Weingram, Director, takes us back to 2019 when the Library’s Accounting Manager went on permanent disability leave and they needed a solution. “A full-time accountant wasn’t feasible,” she says. “Our auditing firm suggested YPTC, a company they knew well from their other nonprofit clients.” Ida feels that YPTC quickly understood their needs. They promptly organized our accounting processes and provided recommendations that resulted in significant cost savings. “Their expertise has been invaluable, especially during audits and when presenting financial information to our Board,” Ida says. “There is a sense of confidence and security with the Board knowing that there is an organization behind the scenes watching out.”
She calls out Angelo DeSantis, Associate at YPTC, “We deeply appreciate having a dedicated, knowledgeable accountant who not only is skilled with various systems but also genuinely understands our organization’s unique structure, consistently offering tailored solutions. I don’t know how we would run Jenkins Law Library without Angelo. He takes care of everything and more, listens to my ideas, does the research, and always follows through while being so positive, kind, and reassuring in times of uncertainty.”
Ida describes Jenkins’ engagement with YPTC as “a wonderful service that is more than worth the cost.” Further describing what she values in the firm, she says “It’s personalized support plus all the benefits, and we’re still small, so we don’t need someone all the time. YPTC is truly there for us and that’s the most important thing that any organization can ask for. I highly recommend YPTC to any nonprofits who want peace of mind.”
