"Much needed leadership"

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA Boston), has been an internationally renowned art museum, a key educator, and an essential contributor to the surrounding city and region’s cultural and civic life for more than 180 years. Showcasing ancient artistry and modern masterpieces, local legends and global visionaries, MFA Boston welcomes diverse perspectives within the artwork and among their visitors.
Katie Vandenabeele, Chief Financial Officer of MFA Boston recalls speaking with a former Harvard colleague that referred her to YPTC, “We were in the beginning of a controller transition and knew that the search would take a little while, so we decided to reach out for some additional assistance while we did the search.”
“My experience with YPTC has been great. We have two individuals who work with us regularly that provided some much-needed leadership to the team and brought a new perspective in terms of looking at our business operations and our accounting,” Katie says. “They were very clear in what their perspective was and where there was opportunity for change.”
YPTC Associates Heather Blanchard and Tony Sulmonte are further described as approachable, bringing a lot of experience and differing strengths, “it’s been helpful to flex different styles, they have a very deep knowledge base that we’ve been able to leverage, and they’re just really pleasant to work with.” Katie continues, “Even though they were only here on an interim basis, they brought a level of discipline that was very welcome.”
“I would definitely recommend YPTC. They really helped us during a challenging transition, and they are good at what they do, pleasant to work with, and responsive. The transition process was very easy.”
