How We Can Help Your Media and Publishing Organization

Reporting

Like your organization, accurate and timely reporting is what we do! We work with you to develop financial reports and visualizations that tell your organization’s financial story in a way your team can embrace and communicate to stakeholders. Our nonprofit finance experts can build custom dashboards, visuals, and reports to illustrate your progress toward subscription targets; distribution, licensing, and royalty agreements; intellectual property valuations; inventory management; and more.

Revenue

Understanding complex and changing revenue streams is critical as many organizations are pivoting to emergency fundraising, membership drives, foundation grants, and new earned revenue strategies following a loss of federal funding. YPTC has deep experience managing all the nuances of revenue recognition, from advance sales, subscriptions, licensing, advertising, and underwriting to corporate sponsorships, digital media sales, training programs, and special events. We also handle unrelated business income (UBI).

Allocations & Cost Accounting

Tracking your projects, including overages, budgets, grants, and restrictions, can strain your organizational capacity, taking the focus away from your mission. We are experts in allocations and cost accounting. We’ll help you track production costs and overhead across multiple metrics to bring clarity and data-backed insights to help you get the most out of your limited resources.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Federal funding cuts, regulatory changes, and political volatility have made traditional, single-scenario budgeting insufficient. YPTC helps build robust, multiple-scenario plans that model the financial impact of key risks. We train your team in budgeting best practices, scenario modeling, and continuous cash flow forecasting to ensure you've got stress-tested, action-ready plans to protect your mission, no matter what comes next.
