"A breath of fresh air..."
After earning my degree, I launched my career in public accounting, where I spent nine years and worked my way up to a manager role. While the experience was invaluable, I eventually realized that the path I was on no longer aligned with my personal and professional goals. I began to reflect on what I truly wanted from my career and considered making a change.
That’s when a friend told me about an opening at YPTC. I hadn’t heard of the organization before, but the idea of an accounting role with a 35-hour workweek immediately caught my attention—it almost sounded too good to be true. Thankfully, it wasn’t. Joining YPTC turned out to be a breath of fresh air and helped me rediscover my love for accounting.
What stands out most to me about YPTC is the positive, supportive culture. The team is open to new ideas, encourages collaboration, and truly values flexibility. When I became a parent to twins, their support made a world of difference in helping me navigate my new responsibilities.
I also enjoy the variety that comes with client-based work. Each project brings new challenges and learning opportunities, which keeps things interesting and rewarding.
