Simply put – we listen. We take the time to understand your mission and goals and develop a plan from there. We will evaluate your current processes and make recommendations for improvement. We will implement software, develop budgeting and forecasting processes and tools, and customize reporting structures, all while communicating with you along the way. We will help train your staff on best practices, provide strategic guidance, and check in with you frequently. Our mission is to help you achieve your mission.

3. What sets Your Part-Time Controller apart from other financial management firms?

Unlike other firms offering a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to nonprofit accounting, we provide direct communication with dedicated accounting professionals who understand your organization’s priorities.  We stand out because of our tailored approach, customized nonprofit solutions, expertise in nonprofit financial management, and commitment to excellence and innovation. Our staff is based in the U.S. Your YPTC team will provide attentive support and industry-leading expertise.

4. Why does Your Part-Time Controller only work with nonprofits?

We build better accounting departments so our clients can build a better world. Unlike other firms, we specialize exclusively in the nonprofit sector.

With over 30 years of serving nonprofits, we understand the nonprofit sector, we believe in it, and we believe in you. We understand the common pressures placed upon nonprofits of all sizes, funding issues, reporting requirements, board responsibilities, and general economic challenges. While all businesses must strengthen their internal controls to be successful, nonprofits are more likely to have fewer resources to reach this goal. Often, they face increasingly complex financial and accounting concerns, as well as scrutiny from legislators and the public. Chances are we’ve seen – and solved – whatever financial question that your nonprofit may have.

We’ve dedicated ourselves to helping nonprofits navigate the challenging environment of finance and accounting, so you can do what you do best.

5. How does Your Part-Time Controller leverage technology in its financial management services?

We prioritize the ongoing development of our staff by fostering a culture of continuous learning and training. Education is even listed as one of our cultural pillars. We provide numerous company-sponsored training opportunities throughout the year, many of which focus on the latest accounting technologies and emerging trends in our profession. We encourage our team members to seek learning opportunities outside of work hours.

In addition, by investing heavily in researching and developing new solutions to make financial reporting easier and more efficient, we are consistently improving our client experience. Many clients describe our services as a ‘no-brainer’ as they rely on our help to make data-driven decisions.
