"Over two years later, it feels great to work for a company that truly values my contributions..."

I left YPTC in 2023 to explore an opportunity with an organization located in my hometown. At the time, I was hoping to find a deeper connection with my local community, and I felt that the well-established, local organization I left for could help me build that connection.

During my time away, I gained valuable experience managing a larger finance team, as well as budgeting for a complex organization (skills that will benefit my current clients). However, it didn’t take long to realize that the work-life balance just didn’t compare to what I had at YPTC. I also missed the network of support that YPTC offered. Having an entire organization of experienced accountants to field questions at a moment’s notice is truly invaluable.

When I reached out about returning to YPTC, I was welcomed back with open arms. YPTC has only changed for the better since I left in 2023, including providing access to tools and resources that make it easier to do what I do best: nonprofit accounting.

Over two years later, it feels great to work for a company that truly values my contributions and fosters an environment where I can succeed both professionally and personally. Having left YPTC and returned, I am now more confident than ever that I am in the right place. It is my goal to use my own experience, as well as that of YPTC at-large, to provide better services to my clients so they can better fulfill their missions.

To anyone considering returning to YPTC, I encourage you to ask yourself, “Does my current employer satisfactorily demonstrate its appreciation for my contributions and my well-being?” If you’re not sure about the answer, you can be sure about one thing: YPTC is here for you!
