YPTC and Associations
Helping Associations Make the Most of Their Resources
With a stronger finance function, your association will operate more efficiently and effectively.

Case Studies
We've been documenting high-impact, long-term support scenarios that may apply to your needs.
Let YPTC handle your accounting needs so you can stay focused on your members.
For associations, high transaction volumes, uneven revenue cycles, and regulatory requirements around lobbying present challenges. Our accounting experts know the rules that apply to associations and can help you optimize your financial systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness. You won’t need to worry about whether staff or volunteers are available to perform timely and frequent reconciliations and compile necessary reports.
We understand Associations' finance needs... and we can help!

Challenges we can help your association solve:
Reporting
We work with you to develop financial reports and visualizations that are meaningful for management and the board. We deliver timely and accurate financial reports that are engaging and enable you to make effective decisions to further your mission.
Revenue recognition & analysis
We ensure membership dues and event revenue are accounted for properly. We also provide analysis and recommendations for managing and expanding dues and non-dues revenue.
Reconciliations
When associations process a high volume of transactions across multiple payment methods, timely reconciliations are critical for accurate financial reporting. We provide reconciliations efficiently, flag any issues early, and recommend relevant system and process improvements.
Cash flow management
The uneven timing of cash receipts from conferences, events, and membership dues can cause cash flow strain without proper planning and management. We'll help you implement a cash forecasting process that facilitates proactive and informed decision-making.
Accounting for lobbying costs
Does your association engage in lobbying activities? We can track costs for you and work with your team to develop a defensible cost allocation strategy for lobbying expenses, excise taxes, and shared costs, as well as any required disclosures.

You “Do it All” For Your Members.

"It's mostly about the people. Their expertise and their skill, of course, but it's also about their techniques. They've helped to implement valuable processes and procedures to ensure successful financial management for both the Council and SciTech Institute."
- Steven G. Zylstra, President & CEO, Arizona Technology Council & SciTech Institute
"Having people who really know the nonprofit world to help us through [organizational changes] has been absolutely indispensable. It's not just hiring a temp or an extra pair of hands. They've added value and made sure our finance department has the right roles, responsibilities and skill sets."
- Joy Heath Rush, CEO, International Legal Technology Association
“We’re a 501(c)6 government affairs advocate for our industry. YPTC’s people have handled the accounting details and have taught me a lot. Instead of starting from scratch I can focus on my work of dealing with the people in the Legislature.”
